EndNote Guides (UM)

EndNote is a tool that allows you to collect bibliographic references and put them in the body of a paper and in a reference list in a desired citation format. In this guide, you'll learn how to use EndNote Desktop’s general functions.

Share Your Entire Library

Go to EndNote > File > Share > [Login EndNote online account] . Type the sharee's email and give the permission (read & write / read only) to him / her. This function will share your entire library references as well as attachments with the recipients. If you give the permission of "read & write" to the sharee, the sharee can edit your references and you will get Shared Library Activity Feed.

Note: Require your EndNote account.

EndNote 20.1 will allow you to share with up to 200 EndNote users. Click here for details.

Open a Shared Library

Share Groups

The group sharee has to login to EndNote Online to read the shared references. The share references are under "Groups Shared by Others". Details can be found here.

Note:

1). Require your EndNote account.

2). No attachments will be shared.

Export Traveling Library

You can share your references by Word. When you send the document to someone with EndNote field codes, he / she can export the references from your Word file by using the function of "Export Traveling Library" in CWYW.
