EndNote Guides (UM)

EndNote is a tool that allows you to collect bibliographic references and put them in the body of a paper and in a reference list in a desired citation format. In this guide, you'll learn how to use EndNote Desktop’s general functions.

Attach a PDF

You can attach PDF, PPT, Word, Excel and other files to a reference.

Import PDFs

You can import a number of PDFs by folders. See Importing PDF Folder.

PDF Auto Import Folder

Once you enable the automatic importing PDFs feature,  EndNote will import PDFs from the specific folder automatically.

Annotate a PDF

Annotating / Highlighting PDF

If you'd like to remove highlighted or stick notes, click the highlighted content or stick note. Right click your mouse and choose "Delete Annotation".
