The Historical Archive of Banco de Portugal collects, preserves and discloses documentation of interest to the Bank’s history, and supports related research. It contains fonds with documents of Banco de Portugal, of its forerunner, Banco de Lisboa, of the financial companies created with the support of Banco de Lisboa and companies wound up by Banco de Portugal.
Research The Oliveira Lima Library collection lauded as the finest Luso-Brazillian material available to U.S. scholars.
This collection comprises correspondence, studies and reports, cables, maps, and other kinds of documents related to U.S. consular activities. U.S. Consulates were listening posts reporting on the activities of the Portuguese colonial government and the activities of the native peoples. Highlights include the beginning of an anti-colonial movement and the industrialization and economic exploitation of Portugal’s African colonies.

LegisPALOP+TL is the official legal database that contains Legislation, Jurisprudence and Doctrine of Angola, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique, São Tomé and Príncipe and Timor-Leste. Updated daily, the Database aggregates, in a structured way and with easy access, Legislation, Jurisprudence of the superior instances and the main Doctrine of these countries, also having a Thesaurus that facilitates the consultation of information and allows comparative analyzes between the legal systems.
